Fekete Zoltán
My name is Zoltán Fekete, but everyone knows me as ‘fez’.
I am from Miskolc. My work has been exhibited in many places around the world. I hold titles as well, but what I do nowadays is far more important to me than those. I am not intrigued by spectacular solutions, but rather by unique or challenging ones—even if they lack immediate visual appeal.
The following series—like most of his work—is the result of experimentation, featuring a final outcome co-created by two motifs: plants and profile portraits. The images are ambrotypes, produced with a large-format camera using double exposure, a shifting plane of focus, and the wet plate collodion process on 13×18 cm glass plates.
